Life, as we perceive it, is constantly in a state of change. Every atom in the universe is somewhere different every millionth of a second. So, without provocation, life happens. Life is a series of moments. If we fully live in each moment, we discover, we digest, and we develop. Applying the Eastern philosophy of Zen, which means waking to the present moment, this class is designed to keep you in the now and bring your Improv to a heightened level.
T.E.A.R. (ACTING TECHNIQUE)
Some may read this as tear (e.g. crying) and others tear (e.g. ripping). They are both right, for this class is about tearing apart your script , so you can bring your audience to tears. Introducing the TEAR technique, designed by Dorian Santiago himself. This technique nurtures character development, script analysis, and scene study. It ultimately will help you create gripping dialogue, authentic action, and captivating performances, not to mention dynamic auditions.
Imagine what our children could become if their fears were removed, any self-doubt was eliminate, and they had greater self-confidence and a positive, supportive environment to nurture their dreams. Between the ages of 11-16 children are constantly fighting to fit in and find themselves. They fight for acceptance. They feel they can't be themselves because people won't like them for who they really are. This camp teaches children through Improvisational skills to accept themselves, embrace their individuality, and train others to treat them the way they want to be treated. It is a must for every child.

Building on your Improvisational skills and your Acting technique, this personal session focuses on helping you, the actor, make the strongest choices for your character. You provide the sides and we provide the guidance.
Personal Intensive Training is one-on-one coaching. It accelerates your craft by delving into the center of your being, your pit, the seed from which everything inside you is built around. An hour long session that focuses on the actor's specific needs, whether it is preparation for an audition, a booked role, or enhancing his/her craft quickly. Although very challenging, nothing is more rewarding than individualized coaching.
A second set of eyes is always great for productions, especially when they are the eyes of award-winning directors. . With several awards under our belt, you can be sure our expertise will elevate your production (set, blocking, acting) and have audiences leaving with GENUINE compliments of how great it was. This program is most beneficial to competition pieces such as Georgia State One Act or the Georgia Theater Conference.
